Founded in Fillmore...

Sun Shuttle Transit began its journey in Fillmore in 1981, founded by the visionary Chappy Morris as VC Dial-A-Ride. With a deep commitment to the community, Chappy aimed to provide reliable and accessible transportation for everyone, establishing a strong reputation for quality service.

In 2018, Chappy's son, Bill Morris, took the helm, bringing a fresh vision to the company. Under his leadership, VC Dial-A-Ride was rebranded to Fillmore Area Transit Corporation and from there it became Sun Shuttle Transit, reflecting a modern approach while honoring the legacy of its founder. Bill’s dedication to enhancing the service and expanding the fleet has made Sun Shuttle Transit a trusted name for all types of transportation needs.

Today, we remain committed to Chappy’s values of safety, reliability, and community focus. Whether it’s transporting students, individuals with special needs, or providing shuttle services for events, we are proud to serve the Fillmore community and beyond with the warmth of a family-owned business.

Santa Barbara Branch

Founded in 2021, the Santa Barbara branch of Sun Shuttle Transit has quickly established itself as a trusted provider of reliable transportation services in the community.

Currently managed by Jorge Rodriguez, a tenured bus driver with a wealth of experience, the branch benefits from his deep understanding of the transportation landscape. Jorge’s dedication to exceptional service and his commitment to the needs of our passengers ensure that we maintain the high standards of safety and reliability that Sun Shuttle Transit is known for.

Under Jorge’s leadership, the Santa Barbara branch continues to focus on providing transportation solutions for students, special needs individuals, and various community events. We are proud to serve Santa Barbara and look forward to being a vital part of the community for years to come!

Ventura County Branch

The Ventura branch of Sun Shuttle Transit holds a special place in our history as the very first branch, established in 1981. From day one, we have been dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for the community, building a strong reputation over the decades.

Currently managed by Hunter (pictured far right), the son of the company’s owner, this branch benefits from his extensive knowledge and passion for the industry. In addition to overseeing the Ventura branch, Hunter is responsible for the overall operations of the company, ensuring that we maintain high standards and efficient services across all locations.

Under Hunter’s leadership, the Ventura branch continues to thrive, focusing on serving students, special needs individuals, and various community events. We take pride in our legacy and remain committed to enhancing the transportation experience for all our valued passengers!

San Luis Obispo Branch

In 2023, our transportation network grew with the opening of our branch in San Luis Obispo, bringing our services to a vibrant and growing community.With a commitment to providing safe, reliable, and accessible travel options, we aim to meet the unique needs of the San Luis Obispo community.

The branch is managed by Deena Frustaci, who brings valuable experience from her 28 years as a commercial driver, as well 7 years as a trainers. Her practical industry knowledge and dedication to quality service help support efficient daily operations and a positive experience for riders.

Under Deena’s leadership, the branch continues to strengthen its services, focusing on reliability, teamwork, and delivering dependable transportation to the community every day!

Fresno Branch

Our company proudly expanded to Fresno in 2025, marking an exciting new chapter in our growing family of transportation services. With a strong commitment to providing safe, reliable, and accessible travel options, we strive to meet the unique needs of the Fresno community and ensure that getting around the city is convenient for everyone.

The branch is managed by Joshua Fielding, who brings valuable experience from his previous role as a bus driver at our Santa Barbara branch. Joshua’s firsthand knowledge of the industry, combined with his passion for customer service, helps ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently every day.
